A Little About Me...

 

Hello, my name is Graham and I am a high school student currently attending York Mill CI. I enjoy music, art, movies, and sports (skiing in particular). I have been playing guitar for four or five years and it has become one of my greatest passions. I have recently began writing my own music which is getting better with time.

I have many musical influences in my life such as John Lennon, George Harrison, Andrew Stockdale, Neil Young, Angus Young, Christopher Wallace, Marshall Mathers. All of these artists have inspired me in one way or another.

The Movie that Changed My Life

I would have to say that the movie that influenced me the most was The Matrix. The Matrix changed my entire perspective on reality, it forced me to believe that what I see is not what i get. Every time I think about the world around me on a complex level, the concept behind The Matrix comes to mind.

Have you ever had a dream that seemed so real you could almost swear it was? Maybe that is what our entire world is, perhaps nothing you see is real. Maybe the entire world is nothing more than your imagination, or (in the case of The Matrix) a simulated reality. What proof do we have that is is not? There is no proof and that is why The Matrix changed my perspective on reality.

Another thing I found amazing about The Matrix is that it introduced a new style, appearance and standard in the world of visual effects. It is renown for its use of bullet time effects, which were very impressive for the time and even still impressive and amazing to watch. It simply out did any movie before it.
